On the outskirts of Ravenblack city, protected by barriers; sheltered by the trees and magic sigils, lies the Gealach Pack. They are a peaceful pack, refugees from war, and mostly keep to themselves to avoid trouble.
The ways of Ravenblack are still foreign to them and old wounds are still fresh. They protect their territory well and help other refugees when needed. From magical to practical, the grounds surrounding their territory is marked in runes, sigils, barriers and traps.
Gealach was named after the Scottish Gaelic term 'A’ Ghealach' meaning moon. Mika coined the term on a whim when the pack formed in the heat of war, and it stuck with them ever since. Though they aren't a Celtic pack, they are open to diversity in many forms, the two founding members Mika and Koji have strong celt heritage. (Mika being full Scottish and Koji being half Irish on his mother's side.)
A tradition has since been created to mark new members with the pack symbol. Meaning 'New Beginnings' the symbol is a Celtic symbol that resonates with the pack and acts as a mark of hope as well as unity. The marking can be permanent or not depending on the individual through either tattoo or a necklace carving that would be worn at all times.
The meaning hits home for those looking for a fresh start and it reminds those that they have a family who understand, ever looking to move forwards and improve.
Gealach Pack
The main goal of the pack is family.
Dynamics such as 'alpha' and 'beta' ext are primarily for show in Gealach Pack. Mika and Grim are known as the pack alpha's but neither force authority in the way typical alphas would. They don't force or dictate rules and instead act as peacekeeper (Mika) and protector (Grim). Both roles don't force obedience, instead they incite harmony and safety. The only reason they might be looked to as alphas, and thus seen as leaders, is due to being Pureblood's and having been around for longer than the rest.
For ease of explanation they use the terms.
Decisions are made together as a whole and every voice gets heard. Every opinion is taken seriously. Every concern listened to. Everyone gets a say on big decisions that impact the pack.
Gealach is a home and focuses more on the support of each member as all have a specific need. From PTSD to abuse victims to agoraphobia, they work on safekeeping and ensuring a safe, welcoming, environment for all who need refuge.
The main rule is to look out for each other, and obviously don't start unnecessary hostility with members or the city.
Disputes are settled via one-on-one brawls for the more hotheaded members or mediated discussions for the conflict adverse. Video games are an acceptable stand in. Or chess.
